Alice Skye is a Wergaia/Wemba Wemba person living and writing music in Naarm (Melbourne). Since her first album ‘Friends with Feelings’ she has signed with Bad Apples, the Indigenous-driven label that celebrates and priorities’ blak excellence. Alice’s sophomore album ‘I Feel Better but I Don’t Feel Good’ was produced by local artist Jen Cloher. In 2020 Alice released the heart breaking pep talk “Stay In Bed.”
Originally from country Victoria, she grew up aside the sandstone mountains and wildflowers of the Grampians. Alice has been steadily gaining a reputation as one of Australia’s brightest new talents since releasing debut single “You Are The Mountains” as part of the Alakura Womens songwriting competition held by CAAMA Records in 2015. That was followed by the release of her acclaimed debut album Friends With Feelings in April 2018 , also on the CAAMA Record Label, which gained immediate playlisting nationwide and has since accumulated over one million streams on Spotify. Skye is now signed to Bad Apples Music Label.
